A very interesting program was produced by the BBC on Global warming and climate change, following the program it showed some of the effects it is having on our planet and what we can do to help Globalwarming awareness2007.

The BBC has a lot of information and aired many concerns about the future of our planet, this website although originally created for the community of Marple will provide information on both a local and global scale, we aim to get people to know what is happening to our planet and more importantly make somthing happen.

For those in Britain Thursday’s winds showed the sort of effect that Global warming is having locally to our nation. Trains were closed, 14 people died, their were report in london of a tornado see below for extract of bbc report.”The last tornado which caused significant damage in London was in December 1954, in west London, in which six people were hurt and the roof of Gunnersbury London Underground station was ripped off.”

I myself was at work in Reading for a meeting our train was canceled back from Wokingham, then again from Reading to Manchester, resulting in a night at a hotel. Climate change can be seen visually when we as a nation witness this. This is the official opening of the Marple website for”Globalwarming awareness2007″. A collective has come together in the local town of Marple in Stockport, Cheshire. The aim is to get people to chip in and do what they can do to help promote Global warming awareness.

The site contains many ways to let people know what you plan and want to do regarding saving the world, but we all need to play our part.
