I know, I know… they’re all melting right? To hear Al Gore talk one would think all the glaciers of the world are melting like a Popsicle dropped on Phoenix asphalt in the summer. The world isn’t static though, never has been and never will be, and while some glaciers are shrinking others are growing. Specifically scientists report that [1] glaciers are growing in the Himalayas high above Pakistan says the BBC:
The debate about climate change should be based on science, not carefully chosen anecdotes showing selective evidence of melting ice here or there. The article by the BBC linked above is an anecdote taken by itself, and is shown here to counter some of the propaganda of global warming demagogues. The proper questions are those relating to the overall situation of the planet based on an analysis of all relevant evidence. And beyond that, from the science and research into past climate history to provide a useful frame of reference to evaluate what is or is not happening now and what if anything we can or are doing to effect it. While Al Gore and his cohorts in the global panic squad present misleading evidence chosen to support claimed global warming, real environmental scientists are working around the globe to gather and analyze their way towards a working understanding of the forces at work. Rational debate should proceed based on the hard science when it is ready. We aren’t there yet. No Comments »No comments yet. RSS feed for comments on this post.
